This will be our fifth year for this event and it promises to be our best ever! It is just so fun to be scared....
Boo Ha Ha! Be afraid! Be very afraid! Enter at your own risk! If the hills don't get you, the Headless Horseman might! [We are NOT kidding! There have been sightings every year.] Many people wear costumes to try to fit in with the goblins so they will not be picked off. You can try that.
Three distances and events to chose from:
Monster Mile Trail Walk- (it will be well marked with pink arrow signs and staffed by Boy Scouts so you have a pretty good chance of making it out of the woods!)
Frightening 5K (on paved roads, uphill "both ways")
Haunted Hilly Half (paved rollers with a three good hills (no matter where you're from) at the end - the fun begins at mile 10!)
All races start and finish at charming Bonneyville Mill County Park in Bristol, IN. Registration and packet pick up will be at the One Room School on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Proceeds to benefit Elkhart County Down Syndrome Support Group.
Join us for a fun Thanksgiving tradition! Get some fresh air before the big meal and do something good for the community at the same time.
What a perfect fit for Thanksgiving! It's all for the Faith Mission Shelter, which houses men, women and children who are in transition.
The Faith Mission also serves free meals for lunch and dinner 365 days a year to those who need to stretch their budget. Their doors are open 24/7!
NOTE: New starting location for the event this year. Yes, we are moving again to be able to provide more parking so that people can come and leave quickly! We know you have things to do on the Big Day, but want you to be part of this event!
We will be starting and finishing at the Elkhart Youth and Community Center, formerly the YMCA, at 200 East Jackson! You can check in on Wednesday, November 26 from 4-7pm (which we strongly encourage) or on Thanksgiving morning from 6:30 am on.
10K starts at 8:30 am sharp! 5K will head out at 8:35 am and Milers will go at 8:40.
We know you want to get back home to your day off, so while this is low key event, we are keeping a schedule! Everyone will get a finisher ribbon at the finisher line along with refreshments.
With this set up, there will be ample parking for easy getaway back to your home!
Again, the idea is come out- get some fresh air and head home. Not an all morning event! Got a house full of company? Load up the car and bring them along! The food will taste better, you will definitely FEEL better after you move a bit!
AND this is all for the homeless shelter, so what could be a more appropriate way of spending an hour or so on Thanksgiving morning! Most of us have so much to be thankful for, and it's good to keep remembering that!
This is also a great way to set a good example for your kids and start that conversation!
Several courses to chose from at this unique venue- A Christmas tree farm! What a perfect spot for this time of year!
We have a course for everyone in the family, including a fun run for the kids. It's great to be out on the farm and breathe in the pine tree-filtered fresh air. Wow. So close and yet so far away from the noise in our daily lives!
The 5K will be on paved/plowed roads. The 10K and Half Marathon will be offroad on trails around the farm with a section through a private forest.
We have exceptional awards, fresh baked goods from Rise and Roll, warm soup, hot cocoa and tea, salty snacks and more for your post run recharge!
This Valentines Day, why not bring your sweetie out for a walk (or run) in the park! The Studebaker Pavilion, which is our base, is a roomy log cabin and we'll have a nice fire going to help you thaw out after the run. MC Allen Strike will be out to spin the tunes and MC our event.
This is an absolutely gorgeous path in the woods! It is quite the hidden gem!
We will have a finisher momento for everyone who braves the cold as well as AG awards!
It can't get any colder than it was last year, and honestly it was a blast! Don't miss this one!
